Full Moon, Oil on canvas, 2022, 22 x 28 in

Full Moon is a creek flowing patiently between past and present. It’s a rumination of my ancestors’ realities. What they might have wanted for themselves, for their lives. Trying to imagine an alien world without climate catastrophe and capitalism is an exercise of imagination and insistence that this is not all that the world is meant to be. I know that this flower nestled between moonlight and the fleeting warmth of the setting sun is an image that connects me across space and time to a feeling of continuity.
